The Center for Music Therapy and Wellness, LLC serving Southwest, MO, has an opening for a full-time (January 4, 2021 start date) music therapy position. We are a diverse private practice with a large clinic space, located on the campus of Drury University, with an additional office in Joplin, MO. which this position will serve. This position also offers the opportunity to work as a practicum student supervisor and be an integral part of the training of music therapy students. This positions provides the opportunity to work populations including individuals with developmental disabilities of all ages and potentially older adults
Music therapy sessions will take place in the Joplin, MO office as well as the occasional teletherapy session.
Clinicians will be provided all instruments and materials needed for the job.

Start Date: January 4th, 2021
Qualifications:
Music Therapist- Board Certified (Required); 1 year of prior experience preferred, particularly in the areas of developmental disabilities and older adult care. We are looking for applicants that are highly motivated, work well independently, are creative, thrive in a diverse setting, and will work with both individuals and groups. Strong knowledge of the AMTA Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics are required. The ideal candidate should have excellent music skills including piano, guitar, and vocal skills. Applicants must also have excellent oral and written communication skills and be a team player. This job will require some early evening hours. Reliable transportation is required.
Compensation is competitive and based on experience.
